The steep cliffs of Los Gigantes on the west coast, which rise up to 600 meters high out of the ocean, are also a spectacular excursion destination. With its natural treasures, the island is a true paradise for active vacationers. Several sporting events in the midst of Tenerife's incomparable nature provide a sporting thrill for cyclists, runners and surfers. Highlights include the Giro d'Italia Ride Like a Pro cycling race and the challenging trail runs are very popular with running enthusiasts. On the water, sports such as windsurfing, kitesurfing and surfing attract visitors to beaches that are known worldwide for their perfect conditions. The island's fascinating natural swimming pools are also famous. In Bajamar, three different natural swimming pools invite you to relax by the sea, and the town is also a popular meeting point for the surfing scene. Another oasis of peace is located in the north of Tenerife: The beach of Bollullo is characterized by a wild landscape - the ideal place to relax with the sound of the waves. Duque beach in Costa Adeje is characterized by the grey and gold tones of its fine sand. The gastronomic offer ranges from simple restaurants with hearty cuisine to haute cuisine. Tenerife was once again able to secure two new Michelin stars for its restaurants at the Michelin Guide Gala in Barcelona. Culinary sophistication can be experienced at the Haydée by Victor Suárez restaurant in La Orotava, where chef Victor Suárez impresses with his outstanding creativity. At Taste 1973, chef Diego Schattenhofer shines at the Hotel Villa Cortés in Arona with his first Michelin star. With the two new accolades, there are now over nine Michelin stars in seven restaurants on Tenerife. In addition to an excellent gastronomic scene, the island's relaxed beach clubs and rooftop bars ensure a good atmosphere. Beach Club Papagayo is one of the best-known hotspots, where breakfast right on the beach is particularly popular. Seafood and meat dishes of the highest quality are served at lunchtime, while the sunset is best enjoyed with one of the excellent cocktails. As the day gives way to evening, electronic music and live shows bring the night to life. From the exuberant clubbing scene to unspoiled nature and excellent cuisine - it is the vibrant diversity that makes Tenerife so fascinating.
