Ca' Pisani: Art Déco meets Venetian history
Art - Package
Behind the inconspicuous façade, Ca' Pisani hides a surprising jewel. Named after the patrician Pisani family, who had the house built at the end of the 14th century, the interior opens up a world reminiscent of Carlo Scarpa's signature style. The great architect brought his iconic design language to Venice in the 1940s - here it lives on in subtly structured wall surfaces and warm, earthy colors that were once used in the Renaissance.
For lovers of modern classics, the hotel is a real treasure trove: elegant wooden inlays, polished handrails and original furniture from the Italian Art Deco era can be found beneath centuries-old beamed ceilings. Art Nouveau armchairs and carpets from the 1930s complete the historic ambience. Many of the beds are restored original pieces - an expression of the owner Ugo Serandrei's passion for Italian design.
