Enjoyable fall at Lake Chiemsee
Gut Ising invites you to culinary highlights
On one of the most beautiful spots in Bavaria, directly on the north-eastern shore of Lake Chiemsee, lies the picturesque Gut Ising. A feel-good place that combines tradition and the highest standards on 170 hectares of land. Known far beyond the borders of Bavaria, the historic estate, whose origins date back to the ancient Roman state estate Villa Usinga, is a refuge for connoisseurs, active vacationers and those seeking peace and quiet.
The estate, a true "village within a village", consists of eight historic buildings that house 105 stylish rooms and suites. The atmosphere is a mix of alpine charm, Biedermeier antiques and modern elements. At Gut Ising, every guest finds their own personal happiness: whether on a horse ride in the international equestrian center, a round of golf on the hotel's own nine-hole golf course, a polo course with an Argentinean professional or relaxing hours in the 2,500 square meter wellness area, which boasts an XXL outdoor whirlpool, rock pool and several saunas.
Gut Ising unfolds its culinary magic especially in fall and winter. When the days get shorter, a time of special indulgence begins at the traditional "Zum Goldenen Pflug" estate. From September 26 to November 16, 2025, the "Game Weeks" will focus on sustainable and natural game dishes. Under the motto "Game cooked - our game from forest and meadow", the kitchen celebrates the treasures of the region. Gourmets can look forward to specialties such as chamois and saddle of venison from Chiemgau, wild boar terrine or the classic Isinger roast venison.
From October 10, 2025 to March 15, 2026, the fondue evenings take a different approach. In rustic parlors with historic cross vaults, guests can choose from ten different fondue variations - from classic meat fondues to cheese fondues, Asian variations and sweet chocolate fondues. An experience to linger over with friends and family.
The varied gastronomic offer is rounded off by Italian classics in the "Il Cavallo" restaurant with a view of the indoor riding arena. Guests who prefer steaks or creations from the wok will find what they are looking for at the "DERBY bar grill".
