Cosme, a Luxury Collection Resort
A "mini cosmos" in the Cyclades
Cosme, the name is aptly chosen, as it is derived from "kosmos". The Cosme Boutique Hotel rises above a pretty bay not far from Naoussa like a miniature cosmos. It is characterized by white buildings, numerous steps and staircases, lots of natural stone and tasteful living spaces in the suites, which were specially created by Spanish designer Jaime Hayon. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, whether at check-in, which includes valet parking, or at the à la carte breakfast, which is served until 11.30 am. The view sweeps over Mediterranean greenery, circular buildings, such as the beautiful spa, or the semi-circular infinity pool, which seems to flow seamlessly into the turquoise blue sea. On the beach with its beach club and thickly padded loungers (fortunately there are only two rows of sunbeds), a young man is immediately on hand with towels - just one example of the excellent service, which at the Cosme also deserves a special mention for the turndown service, which goes above and beyond the standard. Every cosmos has its highest point, in this case a 360-degree panoramic platform from which you can gaze romantically at the stars at night. During the day, on the other hand, the view extends to the picture-perfect Naoussa and the sea. The view is particularly beautiful at sunset, which is best celebrated at the Circe Bar. As soon as it gets dark and the lights of the town begin to twinkle like a sea of candles, we recommend switching to the hotel's own Parostià restaurant - named after the stone ovens of the old houses on Paros. It is located a few steps further down, directly on the beach. The cuisine is modern-Mediterranean, but also Greek-inspired and also offers island specialties such as "Salatouri", the Parosians' delicious answer to Peruvian ceviche.
Test highlight: Sunset at the Circe Bar followed by dinner on the beach
