Parilio
Fine address away from the hustle and bustle
It doesn't always have to be right on the beach and/or right next to the pretty fishing village of Naoussa. The Parilio, a Member of Design Hotels, is located just outside - and yet only 1.6 km from the beautiful Kolymbithres Beach. There is also a free shuttle to the Cosme Hotel on the other side of Naoussa, which has a very nice beach club. At Parilio itself, the large pool with the two artificial rocks is the most popular spot, especially as there are plenty of sun loungers. For this boutique hotel, Athens-based interior designer Laboratorium was influenced by the characteristic Cycladic architecture and its typical colors of white, blue and orange and used natural materials wherever possible. The furnishings of the spacious suites are also characterized by a certain lightness - a small drawback for us, however, is the non-separate toilet in the bathroom. This summer, 13 additional suites in newly built rock villas are due to be completed. Most of the suites already have a jacuzzi and a shared or private pool. One highlight is the cuisine in the beautiful open-air restaurant Paron, which is admittedly not entirely inexpensive. Here, modern Greek fine dining is celebrated with the best products and creative dishes - the Greek orzo pasta with lobster was outstanding - accompanied by excellent Greek wines. Included is the excellent à la carte breakfast, which is served until 11.30 a.m. and includes a number of breakfast creations above the usual standard. As in the rest of the hotel, the service here is cheerful, quick to respond and does a really good job.
Test highlight: Lobster pasta from 2* chef Thanos Feskos
