The family-run Angerhof is located in the recognized climatic health resort of Sankt Englmar, a popular year-round destination in the Bavarian Forest. At around 900 meters above sea level on a sunny south-facing slope, it offers sweeping views across the Danube valley to the Alps. This is where the charming retreat is enthroned, which today offers 160 beds in single and double rooms, suites and family rooms. The heart of the hotel is the 6,500 m2 "WaldSpa" - a spacious wellness area with a wide range of facilities. Natural materials, regional craftsmanship and the surrounding nature characterize the ambience. The spa has seven pools, including two indoor and two outdoor infinity pools, a natural pool, a saltwater pool and a pool with an integrated cinema. The offer is complemented by seven different saunas and heat areas, nine themed relaxation zones, a sky terrace and a 30,000 m2 garden with a fitness trail, barefoot path, bouldering area and mountain bike and e-bike hire. As early as 1985, the year it was founded, the Angerhof focused on "experience gastronomy" - an approach that continues to this day, for example with specialty buffets and live music. The personal commitment of the owner family has made the Angerhof a special retreat. In 2003, the hotel was voted the number one 4-star wellness hotel in Germany by Stiftung Warentest magazine.
