Hotel Telegraphenamt

Urban charm

The Hotel Telegraphenamt in Berlin-Mitte combines historical charisma with a modern lifestyle.
Built between 1910 and 1916 as the most elaborate postal building in Germany, the Hotel Telegraphenamt was once Europe's largest imperial telegraph office. The legendary pneumatic tube system was in operation until 1976. Today, the elegant neo-baroque building has been retelling history as a privately run boutique hotel since its reopening in November 2022. The historic walls are also home to a cultural highlight: the renowned König Galerie has opened its second Berlin location here. In the heart of the capital's creative center, directly opposite Monbijoupark, the refuge impresses with a magnificent natural stone façade, large arched windows and a spacious driveway. Inside, historic columns, mosaic floors, exposed brick walls and capped ceilings meet a modern interior concept by renowned design studio Dreimeta. Fine materials in shades of beige and gray, bronze details and a cozy lighting atmosphere merge to create a unique spatial experience. 97 individually designed rooms, including seven impressive maisonettes with ceilings up to five meters high, real wood parquet flooring and floor-to-ceiling windows, offer views of Berlin landmarks such as the television tower, cathedral and Rotes Rathaus.

In culinary terms,
the Telegraphenamt boasts two restaurants and a bar, above all the ROOT Restaurant, which serves creative dishes under a glass roof in the inner courtyard in a tropical ambience - from exquisite sushi in ROOT style to exquisite international specialties - created for all those who love the extraordinary. The bistro in the entrance area of the hotel with a view of Monbijoupark complements the lunch and dinner menu. The offer is complemented by the medical-cosmetic sports and spa club. Members of the exclusive Members Club also enjoy a 1,200 m2 gym, sauna and lounge. Then as now - more Berlin is not possible.
