With heart and origin
The Bodenmaiser Hof 2.0
More than 100 years of hotel history are far from enough. The Bodenmaiser Hof is too old to reinvent itself? Not at all! The four-star hotel is being given a new look in several stages. At the same time, the hotel, now run by the fourth generation of Sandra Geiger-Pauli, is staying true to its roots.
The "new" Bodenmaiser Hof is already in the starting blocks. What's coming: chic and cozy highlight suites, an additional activity pool and a ninth themed sauna. Furthermore, additional deluxe relaxation zones will be created and the lobby, the "Oma Rosa Bar" and the Rundai distillery will be lovingly refreshed.
"It's simply a love story - the Bodenmaiser Hof and I," enthuses boss Sandra Geiger-Pauli. The hotel has its origins in 1923, when it was founded by her great-grandparents as a small lemonade and malt beer producer.
"I feel an obligation to the generations before to keep going," says the mother of three. "It makes me proud to have this tradition. Every change hurts at first." That's why it was important to her to maintain the local connection and use materials that suit the region, for example. "The story behind it has to be right and fit in with us," explains Sandra Geiger-Pauli.
Everything should be ready in summer 2026. Until then, guests will continue to enjoy the 3,500 square meter wellness area with five pools and eight saunas. Holidaymakers can also enjoy free guided hiking and cycling tours through the Bavarian Forest National Park on the doorstep - for example, Nordic walking on the Silberberg or a hike up the Großer Arber. If you want to do something good for your tired muscles afterwards, treat yourself to one of the many treatments, such as the "Heavy Leg Massage".
