September: Einstein St. Gallen

The Hotel Einstein St. Gallen is located just a few steps from the train station, the historic old town and the world-famous UNESCO monastery district. The classicist building from 1830, once used for fabric finishing and later operated as an embroidery factory, combines history and modernity in a unique way. Today, the 4-star superior hotel is one of the best places to stay in the city and offers 113 individually designed rooms and suites.

The close connection to the St. Gallen textile industry is reflected in every detail - from the room furnishings to the special suites such as the Textilland Junior Suite, designed by Jakob Schlaepfer.

Culinary experiences at the highest level

Gourmets get their money's worth at Einstein Gourmet: with 2 Michelin stars and 18 GaultMillau points, Sebastian Zier and Richard Schmidtkonz spoil their guests with creative and classic cuisine. The culinary offering is complemented by an exclusive wine list curated by sommelier of the year, Loris Lenzo. A special highlight is the Bordeaux limestone wine cellar, which opened in 2020 and contains over 3,000 wines.

Those who prefer a more relaxed atmosphere can enjoy regional classics such as the famous Olma bratwurst or beef tartare in the Einstein Bistro. Afterwards, the Einstein Bar invites you to linger with exquisite cocktails, rare whiskies and the adjoining Davidoff Cigar Lounge.

Relaxation, wellness & fitness

The hotel's modern fitness and wellness area covers over 3000 m². Guests can choose between the sauna area, steam baths and experience showers - a place to bring body and mind into harmony.

Discover St. Gallen - nature, culture & lifestyle

The Hotel Einstein is the ideal starting point for exploring Eastern Switzerland:

- The old town with its elegant boutiques and cozy alleyways invites you to take a stroll.
- The UNESCO monastery quarter with the Abbey Library is a must for culture vultures.
- The Mühleggbähnli train takes guests to the "Drei Weihern" recreational area in minutes - perfect for walks, swimming or panoramic views over St. Gallen.
- The four-country region, Lake Constance, Alpstein and the Säntis offer natural spectacles, hiking trails and sporting activities.

Guests also benefit from the Oskar Guest Card, which offers over 60 experiences and use of the Ostwind route network, including a trip up the Säntis.

Art, architecture & textile history

St. Gallen impresses with its diverse museum landscape, from the art museum and the textile museum to unusual museums such as the soap or beer bottle museum. A particular highlight of the city is the Red Square, an installation by Pipilotti Rist and Carlos Martinez, which combines architecture and art in a surprising way.

St. Gallen's textile history can be experienced in the hotel itself: the building was once an embroidery factory, and the textile tradition still characterizes the decor and ambience today. Visitors can immerse themselves in the world of high-quality lace and embroidery that made St. Gallen world-famous.
