My opinion
For me personally, the "new luxury" when traveling is and remains time. Having time and taking time for yourself, without being determined by deadlines.

Customer opinion
My customers have a similar view and are looking for a balance between experience and relaxation on their vacation. Small, fine hotels with individual service are clearly on the list of favorites.

Trends
- I believe that people will book at shorter notice in future and take fewer trips per year. These will be of higher quality.
- This will certainly also have an impact on flying, with business class being booked more frequently due to the better space available.
- I think the luxury customer of the future will be even more loyal to a particular hotel chain, airline or tour operator.
- All in all, prices will rise and travel will generally become a luxury product again because the freedom to travel is no longer as self-evident as it was just a few months ago.

Top trends:
- Mix of enjoyment, experience & relaxation
- Hotels that operate sustainably
- Trend towards small groups and individual tours
- Travel to more remote or distant areas that were less affected by Corona

Large, anonymous hotels will be a discontinued model. I also see a loss of image for cruises. Group and study trips with many participants will probably lose a lot of interest.
