Prêt-à- cruiser? Then the new expedition yachts from luxury shipping company Ponant might be just the thing for you. Secretly, quietly and still relatively unknown on the German-speaking market, the French have built up an extremely stylish fleet of mega yachts in recent years, combining a high level of comfort, unusual routings and plenty of savoir-vivre. For this and next year, four more identical new additions are on the program. Le Láperouse and Le Champlain - both designed for a maximum of 180 passengers, both absolutely suitable for expeditions and both - nomen est omen - named after famous French explorers. One of the highlights on board is the retractable marina area with a glass infinity pool at the stern. Perfect for boarding the on-board Zodiacs in cold waters or for taking a dip in the refreshing water in southern climes.
