Part 5 - the Nieuw Statendam
Just like her sister, which was commissioned in 2016
, the MS Koningsdam, the Nieuw Statendam is also one of the new Pinnacle Class ships with which the traditional shipping company Holland America Line is currently providing a breath of fresh air on the high seas. Basically identical in construction, the two premium liners will differ in two small details: Firstly, the excellent Asian restaurant Tamarind on the Nieuw Statendam will have an open deck area, so that sushi, spring rolls & co. can also be enjoyed in the open air in future. And secondly, the Neptune Lounge, which is reserved for suite guests, is to be extended and fitted with windows. Our tip: Book the maiden voyage now! It departs from Civitavecchia to Fort Lauderdale at the beginning of December and includes plenty of super-relaxing days at sea, which can be spent in a particularly enjoyable way on a ship like the Nieuw Statendam.
