The South Korean airline Asiana, founded in 1988, has been operating one of its six Airbus A380s on the Seoul-Frankfurt route since March 5.

Frankfurt is the only Asiana destination in Europe where the world's largest airliner lands. Otherwise, the double-decker is on its way to Los Angeles, New York and Hong Kong. Incidentally, Asiana has 150 pilots for the A380 fleet and 24 flight attendants are responsible for the passengers on each aircraft. Three flight attendants alone look after just eight First Class guests.

Connoisseur Circle will report extensively on the Business Class service of the Asiana flagship in the magazine.

The deployment of the A380 to Frankfurt not only takes account of the increasing number of Korean tourists to Europe in particular, but also offers many interesting connections within Asia or to the South Pacific in the opposite direction via Seoul. There are around 32 Asiana connections from Seoul to China and 12 to Japan. In total, Asiana offers flights to 65 cities and 79 routes in 23 countries.

As a member of the Star Alliance, and therefore also a partner of Lufthansa or Austrian Airlines, members of the frequent flyer program can collect miles.

The multiple award-winning Asiana can be seen as a good alternative for travel to Asia, Sydney/Australia or, as mentioned, to the Pacific islands such as Saipan and Palau.
