SWISS International Air Lines is increasing its capacity from Zurich across the North Atlantic in the summer timetable. This is made possible in part by the fact that the Swiss airline now has seven new Boeing 777-300ERs in service, with three more units still on order. From April 22, 2017, SWISS will be serving the Californian metropolis with the Boeing 777-300ER every day instead of the previous three times a week. This means that five intercontinental destinations will be served daily by the flagship Boeing 777-300ER in the 2017 summer timetable: Bangkok, Hong Kong, Singapore, Los Angeles and San Francisco. In addition, the Boeing 777-300ER will be deployed on six of the 12 weekly flights to Chicago between June and October 2017. Connoisseur Circle has already reported extensively on the Business Class product of this aircraft.

In addition to the Boeing 777-300ER, SWISS is the first operator of the modern Bombardier CS100 short and medium-haul aircraft. SWISS will now further expand its offering from Geneva. In the second quarter it will integrate the first Bombardier CSeries 300, a larger version of the CS100, into its fleet and operate this aircraft type on numerous European routes from Geneva. The SWISS fleet based in Geneva will then consist exclusively of CSeries aircraft. In our opinion, the special feature of the CSeries aircraft is the very spacious cabin - there are also large overhead stowage compartments - and the twin-engine jet is also very quiet during the flight, which naturally increases comfort on board. A high-quality aircraft for the premium Swiss market.

SWISS has 102 destinations (77 European, 25 intercontinental) in 43 countries on offer this summer. The summer timetable is available from26. March 2017 to October 28, 2017.
