Thai Airways will connect Vienna-Bangkok four times a week from November 16, 2017.

A Boeing 777-200ER will be used, with a 30 Business and 262 Economy Class configuration. This means that no fewer than three Star Alliance partner airlines are competing for business on the Bangkok route. Austrian Airlines, daily with Boeing 777-200ER and EVA Air, four times a week with Boeing 777-300ER. Vienna Airport will be pleased as it has been trying to attract Thai for years. The flight from Vienna to Bangkok with the flight number TG937 leaves Vienna Airport at 13.30 hrs and lands in the Thai metropolis at 05.20 hrs the next morning. The return flight with flight number TG936 takes off from Suvarnabhumi at 01.30 a.m. The hub in Bangkok offers optimal transfer connections within Thailand as well as to numerous destinations in Asia, Australia and New Zealand. Star Alliance founding member Thai Airways International has a further 21 weekly flights from Germany (Munich and Frankfurt) to Thailand, including three weekly non-stop flights from Frankfurt to Phuket. In addition to Bangkok, Thai Airways' entire route network includes ten other domestic destinations in Thailand and more than 70 destinations in 33 countries worldwide.
