The world's newest low-cost airline Flyadeal is launching with these topics.

And, hard to believe from a Western perspective, it is based in Saudi Arabia. Now this huge country is probably not the focus of most tourists - and the visa is also a challenge - so it is all the more exciting when you have the opportunity to talk to the people in charge at the Airbus plant in Hamburg Finkenwerder.

Australian-born Con Korfiatis has taken over as CEO and the airline is to have a young, modern and cheeky image - the uniforms of the flight attendants already bear witness to this approach. The airline will launch its first scheduled flights on September 23. But what is underestimated in our latitudes is the country's enormous potential. "I think there are 20 million domestic passengers a year in Saudi Arabia," says Saleh Al Jasser, Chairman of Saudi Arabian Airlines, to Connoisseur Circle. Flyadeal is their subsidiary.

The Flyadeal Airbus A320 fleet is equipped with 186 seats, including personal USB ports and options for storing iPads etc. You can see that the digitalized world is taking hold everywhere. And above all, the demand for mobility in Saudi Arabia is increasing.

But that's not all, the parent company Saudi Arabian Airlines is also investing massively in its fleet and service, and a new terminal is soon to bring a quantum leap in terms of airport comfort. Finally, the airline is a member of SkyTeam, i.e. a partner of Air France, KLM or Delta - but even that is relatively unknown in our latitudes.

Saudi Arabia's geographical position is ideal for global air traffic. Its neighbors, such as Dubai with Emirates, Doha and Qatar Airways or Etihad Airways from Abu Dhabi, have made their mark globally. However, Saudi Arabia has a huge advantage in terms of aviation - namely its huge domestic market with the aforementioned 20 million domestic passengers and can therefore rely on natural growth. And the Emirates do not have this fact.
